I couldn’t sleep last night. When I did sleep I had strange and weird dreams about today’s upcoming visit with the immunologist/infectious disease doctor. So I would pray. And pray.
So today, before I go to the appointment (which is at 1pm CST), I’m coming here specifically asking for your prayer. It doesn’t need to be long, and maybe it’s just while you read this post, but I really need prayers.
I know I will update when we get home. I just feel so strongly about covering this entire day in prayers. I need them. Especially after seeing that Samuel lost weight. When you are little and your job is to grow losing weight isn’t the right path. Celiac Disease is not an easy journey — there are a great deal of bumps and bends and twists in the road.

I’ve struggled with insomnia for years, and I’ve learned that it’s not necessarily a bad thing. I spend more focused time in prayer (literally hours and hours) in the middle of the night then at any other time. You know, 7 kids, lots of distractions during the day. 🙂
Often I’ll ask the Lord to bring to mind who I need to be praying for and it’s quite remarkable how I’ve found out after the fact that that person needed prayer at that specific time for a good reason.
And I’m praying for your little Samuel – that God will do exceedingly abundantly beyond all you ask or think!!

Lord, answer your daughter’s cries. Bring Your wisdom, strength, and peace. Bring the right Doctor(s) to be apart of this journey with them. Uncover the mysteries of what is happening in Samuel, and provide health and restoration. Lord, I ask specifically that You will cause Samuel’s body to gain weight instead of losing it; that You would breathe new energy into his body. Cause the food he is to eat to nourish and sustain him. Reveal Your presence anew to him and his mama, and the entire family. Your strength is made perfect here, Lord. May it be seen! Glory, Lord… Amen.
