Last week, I didn’t link up with Miscellany Monday. That was only the second time since it began. So this week, I’ve been determined to write my Miscellany post! You all know how much I love this meme. It’s way to fun to be random!
1) I have one blank day a week on my schedule. Only one. And it’s Friday. And, now, it’s being threatened with an item to do.
2) That item? Ballet practice for this year’s Nutcracker Ballet. I’m praying that my girls get roles that require a Saturday rehearsal –since I’m already there.
3) Why? I drive to North Ballet Academy everyday of the week except Friday and Sunday. I think our vehicles know the way to ballet.
4) There’s a beautiful back road on the way to ballet. I’ve been snapping pictures there for the last year. In fact, I’m getting ready to write a post titled – the road to ballet – stay tuned. 🙂
5) Hannah goes through pointe shoes every six weeks. That’s painful for the pocketbook.
6) For those of you who know me on facebook, you know that several days ago I confiscated about half of my older sons’ toys. They had been told to be stewards of their rooms, and after several days weeks of walking into a messy room every night I decided to follow through — I came in and removed the toys that were strewn about.
7) It took them two days to notice the toys were gone.
8) They are much happier without all the toys. Now they actually play with the toys they have left.
9) I could offset those new pointe shoes by selling the bins of toys in the garage. Hmmmmm…..
10) And finally, to be completely random, I just wanted you to know that I am sipping my Keurig brewed coffee. Today’s blend? Donut Shop. And it is good.
Thanks guys! Have a great Monday…..excellent Monday…amazing Monday….okay, get through Monday!
And remember to link up to my dear friend Carissa’s Miscellany Monday thread. 🙂

Ha ha, “I think our vehicles know the way to ballet.” I feel the same–we go so much, they must have memorized the route by now, right?
EVERY 6 WEEKS? Wow. Hannah is one dedicated dancer. 🙂

LOVE the ballet pictures…I have a niece that is still dancing her way through college…we miss, but not so much miss, her days of Nutcracker…lol, bittersweet!
Looking forward to the post documenting the road to ballet…it’s fun to imagine where each of us are in our day to day 🙂

I love the screen saver! I hoe you get to keep your Friday open…this is the time when schedules fill up quickly. That coffee sounds delicious!
You have quite the schedule there my friend. May you find some sweet times of rest with your family and Jesus throughout it all.
Pointe shoes every six weeks? Ouch. Praying that you get some good money for those toys!
Have a great Monday!
your road to ballet sounds intriguing… can’t wait to hear all about it! i guess if you have to have one thing to do on your blank day, ballet is a worthy cause. and so are your girls! : ) hannah is amazing – i know she does a fabulous job with those lil’ ballerinas. oh and her pointe shoes… such a beautiful picture.
ha ha! – two whole days! what a great example of not needing as much as we think we do!
your coffee blend sounds superb!
xoxo to you pretty mama! have a beautiful week with your precious family!
You know, when we went on vacation this summer, I actually forgot to bring toys for the twins. I only brought what they could hold onto in their carseats on the drive to Colorado, which consisted of a few cars. I had a bag of books too, and that was it. They were so much happier with less!
The coffee sounds awesome!
Lifting up prayers!
Isaiah 12:1-2 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee…and thou comfortedst me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Know that I’m continuing to pray!
Psalms 57:1-2 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
