It’s back.
Friday Favorite Things is back in it’s original form.
You know, the random carefree list of joyful faves from the week?
That’s here. Now. Week 60.
And I hope you’re back as well.
Thanks for sticking with it during the two weeks of my
10 Days of Intentional Parenting Series
{really grateful for your support}
Now, would you help build momentum back up for Friday Faves?
{so join, tweet, like, all that stuff, you know}
I’d be so grateful.

And with that these are a few of my
may baskets
left by dear neighbors
do you know that I prayed and prayed and prayed about our neighborhood
for years before we even moved here?
And oh my, we have wonderful neighbors.
So blessed.
green butterfly nets
from Target’s Dollar Section
{boy do I love Target}
for little ones to play with
and to wonder about.
sweet little samuel
who decided to eat his whipped cream and strawberries first
on the night where we had strawberry shortcake for dinner
why, yes, yes, we did
moh berries momma, moh
Samuel would say and then
inevitably he’d got some from my plate
but look at that face? how could I not share with him?
brothers
{prior to their haircuts – wait till you see – so handsome}
who share their shortcake
which is gluten free, of course,
with each other.
my friends
when I was at the 2:1 conference
I had a chance to just be with some of my dear friends
they are the ones who push me, encourage me, and bless me
love these guys
{starting with me in the purple in the back middle and then going clockwise and around}
tara {feels like home – my lovely roommate}
cheryl {somewhat crunchy – and the organizer of 2:1} and angie {many little blessings},
a picture of me speaking
sharing about the importance of keeping our eyes on Jesus
and that there is no room for comparison
and that right now, we as women and writers
can make a difference
and that we must fight for family in a culture where the value of family is diminished.
In fact, friends, I’m working on putting together my speaker bio now
so if you’re interested or know of opportunities please consider contacting me.
Thanks, friends.
{much thanks to my very dear friend Ashley for these pictures}

Choosing joy.
Choosing joy.
this picture
I’ll value it for ever
it captures my heart
and how much I love being a mom
and just living in the now, the joy, the gift of today
{don’t underestimate the value of being a mom – read yesterday’s post – there is never “just a mom”}
and is the perfect ending for this week’s favorite things.

The disheveled hair makes you more beautiful…and no doubt all ofyour sweet ones missed you!!! Many Blessings friend…praying all little ones are healing quickly!
i do declare that those mayday baskets are the cutest things. adorable idea!
i like your boy’s shaggy look. Hunter gets that way every so often. until i want to fork out the money for a hair cut. i wish i could do it myself, without a butchering. : )
love seeing a pic of you speaking. i know you rocked.it.out.for.Jesus!!!
what beautiful glimpses of you and Samuel. you should wear your hair curly all the time. i love love love it. probably because it reminds me of mine. ; ) plus, it would be easier, too. win-win.
love ya, girlfriend.
I agree- you should keep your hair curly like that all the time! The last picture really is perfect. It really does capture what it feels like to be a mom.
the pictures of you and samuel are beautiful! and your green grass is awfully pretty too!
That last photo is gorgeous. And I love your words about neighbors. The concept of being a good neighbor/having good neighbors seems to be coming up a lot around me lately. Hmm…I’m sure that means something!
I love to read you blog I have to tell you. I don’t know where I discovered your site, but I am so happy I did. You have such wonderful words for being a mother and it reassures me as a mom at times when I need it. I really enjoyed your series! I heard about the 2:1 conference one week before and I so wish I had known about it longer as I would have jetted down.
Oh good gracious your little ones are sweet! Thank you once again for the fabulous inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend.
Love your hair curly and pulled back. You are beautiful regardless of how your hair is! You have precious children and I loved reading about your favorite things this week!
I adore that last photo of you two, 🙂
Love that last photo. Just precious. And it looks like you had and important, interesting and just yummy week. 🙂
God is so good to answer prayer! Thanks for the reminder to pray specifically, as you did for good neighbors!
God bless,
Laurie
LOVE the pictures…and I think it’s so awesome that you’re speaking to others at big events, you have so much to offer!
these are great!
I’m so glad you had a good time! Isn’t it nice to get home and know that you were missed? It can be overwhelming being a mom sometimes, but the rewards are very much worth it!
