remember. remember. remember.

by Rachel Marie Martin

one of my all time favorite little poems

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait ’till tomorrow,

for babies grow up, much to our sorrow.

So quiet down cobweb-dust, go to sleep.

I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.
“Song for a Fifth Child” by Ruth Hulburt Hamilton

i want to
remember.
remember.
remember.

So true. Take the time to snuggle that baby because they’re only little for so long.

My mom used to say this to me when I was little but I had forgotten about it. Thank you for bringing back my lost memory.

LOVE this! What a good reminder. I have a newborn and a three-year-old and I don’t want to waste their childhood away cleaning.

This is one of my biggest struggles…to just stop and enjoy them. Thanks for the reminder.

Mine aren’t babies anymore…now my grands are growing up so very fast!
Such words of comfort. Still praying!
John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

oh this is so perfect. i find so many mommas are either looking back or looking forward and have trouble cherishing the now. (i am guilty of this too, but really working on it!) it goes so utterly fast, they grow up quicker and quicker the more you try to slow time down.

i’ve heard this before, but thank you so much for sharing it. i am so happy i found your blog! 🙂

xo.
happy monday!
