to my family. #fridayfaves from florida

Friday Favorites from Florida.
{I arrived on Wednesday and I’m leaving late tonight – a very short trip}

Some dear letters today.
Write yours, link up, find joy, and join.

Dear Samuel
Now you are three
And I think that those Captain America pictures
that Hannah took are the very best.
You amaze me
and I love you with all my heart.

Dear Caleb,
Thanks for working so hard on your schoolwork this year.
You are a diligent student
and I am so impressed by how much you love reading.
And I love those freckles that you have scattered all over your face.

Dear Grace,
Thanks for letting me win sometimes
When we play cards.
Because I know that you do that now
and you are faster than your mom.

Dear Hannah,
I am so blessed by the pictures
that you take of our family.
I just love this picture
{I know it’s old}
of you. Lovely.

Dear Elijah,
My spitfire.
I am writing this while I am sitting high up in a plane
{I wrote it on Wednesday as I knew I’d be working all day Thursday.}
and I know that you would absolutely love it.
You are such a thrill seeker and an adventurer.

Dear Chloe,
My Avengers loving
teach her little brothers all about them
daughter who has the most tender heart.
You bless me.
And I am so thankful to be your mom.

Dear Brennan,
I keep thinking about how you are almost nine
And I just wonder what happened to time
And why it goes so fast.
You’re my tree climber, tree branch swinger, fort making
Exploring son.
And I love that about you.

Dear wonderful husband Todd,
Thank you for supporting me
And all of my writing
And the times when I travel.
We’ve had quite the journey
But I am beyond grateful to have you by my side.

Dear Jenn,
You’ve become part of the family.
Thanks for letting me stay in your home
and meet your wonderful family
{and explore Southwest Florida with you all}
And, heeheehee, thanks for taking me to the beach.
When we weren’t working – see laptops for proof of work.

Dear readers who are looking for joy,

Keep looking in the little things.
In the morning sun, the toddlers smile,
The teenagers text, the dinner on the table.
We’re in this joy hunt together.

Dear everyone who joins Friday Favorite Things,
Thank you.
We’ve been doing this a very long time.
And I just wanted you to know that I am so grateful
That you took time from your day, shared your heart
Shared your post
And sought joy
in the little things.

I’ve been searching for my joy for so long, I forgot that it often appears in the simple and sweet things that surround me. I love this post. 🙂

Oh, I so love the way you pull out the strengths of your children – speaking words of encouragement into their hearts….

You have become quite the traveler. Spreading lots of joy with others and what a testimony you are to everyone that comes your way.

Loved these sweet letters to your precious family.

You always bring a smile to my face.

Christ Himself gives us these promises. Know that I’m here praying so very hard!!!!
Revelation 21:5-7 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
