a little boy and his truck

by Rachel Marie Martin

Super Sammo.

That’s what it’s called.
And it’s so cute — it’s this customized Hot Wheels Customs Truck that I was able to get for Samuel. I chose a vehicle,  uploaded this picture of him {how could I not use this one? such a fave} and added the text Super Sammo.
Why Sammo? It comes from him, not quite able to say Sam-u-el – instead it comes out like Sam-mo. He’ll tell me, me Sam-mo, while patting his cute tummy.
When it arrived I was amazed.
As was Samuel.
I know this will be one of those items that we keep in the memory box. As I was holding it I kept thinking about how someday he’ll show that truck to his family — and he’ll chuckle as he shows them that he really did have that big round head — and his kids will laugh as they see baby Samuel etched on a truck. It’s a real keepsake, something I know will be treasured.
I’m thankful for opportunities like this and the moments they create. Now, I’m off to order one for my Elijah – I’ll just have to figure out which of his many nicknames to use. 😉

I love his face and expression when he opens the package to see it!!! How cool! This is an awesome idea. I’d name one Hemi Hunter or something like that. I’ll have to check them out. : ) Looks like the best stocking stuffer ever.

So cute! We would have to name ours Gus-Gus or Scooter because that is what daddy calls our little guy.

I love how you get to choose the picture and the name! Do they just have one style of truck or are there several choices?

Priceless photo!

You could dry the lavender, then do a little hand sewing project with your girls and make sachets to give as Christmas gifts. They can be placed in drawers or pillows (for sweet dreams). If they were in muslin they could go in a hot bath or even blended with camomile tea.

Ours has yet to bloom!
