This is one of those reviews where honestly, I hardly have to type any words — these products from Birdcage Press are exquisitely beautiful, high-quality and so well made that my words feel woefully inadequate. Over the past month my family has reaped so many rewards from getting to play with their unbelievably fabulous products.
We first reviewed The American Art Ditto game — look at those pictures — gorgeous. It’s a classic memory game, but instead of using pictures of apples, oranges, and trikes it has various picture of American Art thoughout the years. We had a blast playing with the cards, and honestly, the best part was that we were learning about art in the midst of playing. The cards are thick, well-made, glossy, and beautiful. The name of each art piece is printed on the larger lotto cards. I’d just announce the name as we played and pretty soon we were remembering the names of various works of art.
We also reviewed North American Birds Cards. Again, I’m not joking, these cards were absolutely amazing. I sat for a good hour with Samuel just reading the book and looking through the cards. It was such a sweet time with him reading about the wonders of the Lord’s creation and getting to share with him about these birds. The cards break the birds into their various types — and then go on to describe each one in detail. Then you can play various games with this cards {we like Go Fish} and again, while you are playing you are learning. Just like the lotto game above these cards are very thick, well made and beautifully printed.
Before long Samuel was starting to recognize birds and was super excited to point them out to me. Like this when he tells me “bald eagle” – which is his favorite. 🙂 {and please note that it’s a youtube video so I have no idea of the other links…}

These games look absolutely fantastic! I would chose the North American Birds game. Being an American living in Tasmania, Australia, I like to teach my kids everything I can about where I am from. My husband (He’s Australian) thinks I go overboard sometimes, but that’s okay…..
Hope you have a great time in Nashville!
I am so going to go crazy at Birdcage Press’s website for my kids’ Easter baskets this year! The North American Birds game would be a big hit in our house.
I’d love to win the birds cards. We love to watch the birds around here.
Just want to stop by and say hi!
Continuing to pray!
Psalms 34:17-19 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
