It’s time for a traditional
friday favorite things
where I just examine my week
and sit in gratitude for the simple joys
found in the everyday.
These are a few of my favorite things
beautiful square plaque
that I won at Relevant
filled with words of truth
a little boy resting
after he got all of his homework done
in the family room on the big puff ball
while playing his game on the nintendo ds.
a sweet note
left on the doorway
in the morning for me
to see as I left to run errands
and a sweet boy
found in his rather messy room
who decided he wanted to take a rest
in the middle of the room
in the middle of the day.
the bucket of toys
that the boys cleaned
and told me that they
sorted really really well. 😉
little crumbs
left from the gluten free cake
that we topped with berries
on a Tuesday afternoon.
the beautiful eyes
of my ten year old
daughter Grace.
remnants of a lego game
left on the table
after some older boys
played game after game in the morning.
making snow cream
after a fresh snowfall
much to the delight of all the kids
who gathered more and more and more snow
{thanks geography matters for this book}
and this little boy again
who happened to find more legos
upstairs in his big brother’s room.
love, love, love that smile.

What lovely photos! We used to make snow ice cream when I was a kid but I’ve never done it with mine — hmm, next snow we get I think we need to do that!
