growing up with my own face of freckles
{which my grandma called sunkisses}
I love to look at my Caleb’s sunkissed face of freckles outside in the winter sun.
scattered throughout my home
I’ve got two boys whose fingers
can’t wait to play the guitar.
Lessons will be coming. Soon.
As will new guitar strings.

my Brennan has turned into quite the reader
I captured him reading away
on a sunny Thursday afternoon
took this picture

my sweet friend
sent me this delightful

while at blissdom
I learned that too many kids in the US are going hungry.
Con Agra foods partnered with Feeding America
to get food to those who need it
That is amazing. Take time to enter those codes!
{you’ll get to hear Minnesota me…finally}
I shot a video for feeding america
{i didn’t know the questions beforehand…so forgive the ums and blank stares}
talking about how I can help bring awareness to end hunger
and friends, talking about it? that BRINGS awareness
and one less child going hungry? That is worth fighting for.
ending with these

i love hearing your voice… reminds me of our lunch so much!!! : ) and yes! child hunger is so surprising. awareness is key. feeding america is a great organization! the code thing is amazing.
i love your bright pictures! the boys with the guitar are so cute. can’t wait for Hunter to get interested. his daddy is itching for it!
um, gorgeous black and whites of samuel.
happy grace-filled friday, sweet friend!
It’s so encouraging when a slow reader suddenly takes off — our 6yo is doing that right now too! I’m convinced the best thing to do is just keep doing read-alouds with them and they’ll get it eventually!
Have a great Friday!
i love the pictures of the guitar. i have always wanted to learn how to play.
and those freckles? love every single one.
the pictures of samuel? amazing.
and i have a sleeping baby next to me so i can’t wait to come back and watch your video. 🙂
have a great weekend.
No child should have to be hungry, it is so tragic.
Those photos of Samuel are sweet, and I loved hearing your voice. 🙂
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL SHOTS!!! You dont look tired :0)
You did great on your video! Fun to hear your voice. Your story about the woman who you thought had it all together- great story, because there are a LOT of those cases and you just never know who’s in trouble. The number of “middle class” families going hungry is growing.
Ah the sweet sound of a Minnesooota accent 🙂 I dont get to hear it enough any more! Do you know of a list of Con Agra products with the Feeding America codes on them? I looked around the FA website, but didn’t see one…I will keep looking. In the summer our church has a gleaning program that picks up extra produce at local farmers markets (that just gets tossed in to a dumpster if no one picks it up!) and distributes it to shelters and families in need in the community. We are always looking for new opportunities to help – and just entering a code! How much easier could it be 🙂 Happy Friday!
loved your video and hearing your voice! how fun!!
I love how your love for other people is so evident through your blog. You really care about others. Thanks for the encouragement!
Hi, when you have doubt in italian, ask unhesitatingly… see you soon!
You don’t have an accent to me 😮
I have to look into this charity, wow, and no one’s got it “all” together, not one. And there is not such thing. . .
I love your special-ness from this week, and you are right with those last two pics, precious.
love these posts! i’ve got to remember to link up! have a wonderful weekend friend!
Happy Anniversary to you! Your blog is a great blessing!
What a cute accent you have! Reminds me of my husband’s extended family–Swedes who live in Bemidji, Minn. 🙂
I love that your little boys are excited about music. I am a piano teacher and just melt at the sight of true passion. 🙂 I wish I could hear you play!
