I’ve been pretty quiet social media wise today. Besides resting {I was up most of the night several nights ago when I was at the hospital with my lovely friend and her sweet baby}, grocery shopping, and cleaning we did our annual Easter Egg Dye. Complete with the Ugly Egg Contest. Yes, yes we do that. Can you guess which 4 eggs were entered? And, sigh, my egg was not the winner…
Here’s a sneak peek {via Instagram — thank you droid for finally getting the app} of our eggs. We started with 5 dozen. Yep, sixty eggs. And ended with 5 dozen minus seven. We had to test them, right? And that Samuel? He was quite partial to orange. So, needless to say, we have a large volume of orange eggs and a little two year old with now very orange fingers. 🙂
Full post coming. Soon. 🙂
Do you dye Easter Eggs? And, by the way, next year I’m going to make natural dyes — a couple of my dear friends tried it this year and I’m so intrigued! Did any of you do that?
Enjoy your Saturday night and have a blessed Easter!

So pretty!
I love the colors…
We are still considering dying eggs later today. Somehow I almost forgot this year!!
Happy Easter!
Those are gorgeous! Haha, I love the bit about the ugly egg contest. 😛
We always have a bit of an unspoken competition every year, to see who can do the most complex or unique egg. 🙂 We’ve gone a tad crazy before.

I haven’t tried natural dyes yet…but I like how all of your eggs turned out.
Oh, YEAH…for the Instragram app for Android…finally 🙂 🙂 Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather 🙂
I’ve never tried natural dyes. I used to make an egg that depicted everyone in the family by drawing a face and a signature trademark. I like seeing the expressions on their faces when they were greeted with their egg!
Nope…don’t think we ever did eggs…
We have hope because of all Christ went through! Praying for you right now!!!
Isaiah 53:7-10: He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
