I love her. She was born exactly one week after my grandmother — named Laurella — died. She was balm for an aching heart. Where there was sorrow she brought joy. One of the sweetest pictures I have of her when she was first born was of my grandfather holding her tightly. He had been married to my grandmother for over 60years.
