my little gracie…

by Rachel Marie Martin

…is growing up
into a beautiful ballerina.
And on monday, she just got her first pair of pointe shoes.

It’s a beautiful achievement for an even more beautiful girl.
I am so proud of her.

A little sweet Samuel update: he seems to be gradually improving. We’re doing the neb treatments every 4hours and that appears to be helping him clear those lungs. We go back to the doctor today. Thank you so much for praying for my Samuel.

Oh, such a cute photo of the moment. Bitter sweet I am sure. I have only boys so I love hearing about girly achievements. I pray I someday get to experience those with a granddaughter!

I use to love dance ballet. I danced from the time I was 4 until 16. I started on pointe at 13. Time to sew some ribbons and elastic on those shoes and scuff up the toes!

What an achievement! I love her shoes.

I hope your son is doing better. JDaniel took awhile to get used to using the nebulizer.

I haven’t been able to comment lately so I’m happy to be able to type something today! I am glad to hear that Samuel is doing a little better. Hope he keeps on improving!!

Love these ballet shoes. I was a ballerina when I was 5 and 6..but I never made it to these ballet shoes. They always scared me! What a huge accomplishment!

Hi Rachel! I’ve been thinking about starting my little girl (who’s name is also Gracie!) in ballet. She loves to dance and her cousins are in ballet, so she’s expressed an interest in it a lot lately. How old is your daughter and how long has she been in ballet? My Grace is eight. 🙂

Isn’t Pointe beautiful! My daughter has been on Pointe since 8th grade and it gets better every year, she’s 17 now, and I just adore it! We’ve gone through 4 pairs now LOL
