This week has been hard.
In fact, as I sat in the back of a tow-truck watching our Saturn get towed
{the one we were all using until we could get the big truck fixed}
I began to think about how this week really is the antithesis of last week.
But, I refuse to dwell on the hard stuff that’s on my plate.
Or the collection of non-working vehicles in my driveway.
{editing to add that the Saturn is fixed — it was just the battery}

I’m going to be grateful.
Grateful {again} for my friend Maria
who dropped everything to meet me at Target in the rain
and brought Chloe home and helped out
as Todd and I waited for the tow truck
rain
AAA Insurance
if you don’t have it you need to get it
as they have free towing

Hugs with Samuel
Thinking of last week’s vacation.
And a beautiful daughter, Hannah, who documented it oh, so beautifully
Of little Samuel sitting in his blue car
in the trailer of our stuff parked in the Pizza Hut parking lot

Or time on the boat
Or at the park
And fellowship at fireworks
celebrating freedom

For my family
yes, my wonderful awesome grateful “i couldn’t live without them” family

Yep, I’m grateful.
{and linking with what is on your heart }
Especially now that we’re all stuck at home
waiting for a vehicle {hopefully it’s just a battery} to be fixed.

I’ll be praying that your car troubles are nothing serious. Been there myself a time or two. I love how you’re choosing to be thankful right in the midst of it all. That’s our Jesus in you!
Welcome back home and hope the car situation is just a batter too or something inexpensive and simple! Looks like you guys had a great time and truly looking at your family pictures makes me smile. Such a sweet, loving family and it shines through your pics!
Your holiday looked fabulous …. glad you can cherish the memories. Love Hannah’s pictures, she took great pics. I linked up today via my art blog with the post ‘love this girl’. Hate car troubles …. gggrr!!!
I hope the weekend turns things around for you and your car is an easy fix! I am enjoying your pictures from vacation. I wish I had a talented photographer in the family to document our upcoming camping trip…Hannah does such a great job 🙂
Best of luck Rachel!
Oh car troubles no fun at all!
The feelings of stranded and the cost. Praying your week gets TONS better!!
Those are many things to be grateful for! And beautiful pictures to boot.
Praying your vehicle situation gets better. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
Absolutely beautiful photos. I especially love the first one of your daughter. She has gorgeous eyes!
Also, I love your header.
I’m so sorry about your cars. That is so hard and discouraging. Praying for the Lord’s ceaseless provision for you guys.
That Maria, she’s a keeper!!! What a sweetheart.
Your Hannah is gorgeous.
The boat pictures are awesome; you look so cute with a ponytail.
I hope your week next week is the antithesis of this one. : )
i’m coming back to give you a great big !!! because i’m really soooo sorry. we have one dead car in our driveway and that’s hard enough. two is just frightening. thank you, as always, for looking on the bright side. God is going to provide for you guys and i’m confident in that. love you!
now, i think my comments combined are long enough for my liking. ; )
and yeah – i linked up again this week – and in honor of your boy’s soccer – i’m finally on the ball!
HUG! is what is should say above! i put it in brackets and the html deleted it. oops.
Sent a little prayer your way Rachel. We just had car trouble last week with one of our cars ): never fun.
Loved all of your beautiful pictures. And, your kids have the most beautiful big blue eyes!
Enjoy your weekend!
I so love Friday Favorite Things… I love your blog and Hannah’s too!! Thank you for bringing such beauty to this world…I was a soccer player (as were my sisters) and I played for about 20 years and soccer (for me) taught me about the importance of team and that for each goal I scored, the 10 players behind me got me the ball…effort and attitude… If I give it my all, believing in myself I am successful independent of the outcome of the game… you do win, but you also lose…along with many others, but I loved seeing Brennan on the field…it brought back many beautiful memories of my childhood and now I’m 36 and have lifelong bonds with women I played soccer with when I was 6. It’s amazing.
Happy Friday Rachel.
Rain and coffeeandtea sounds like a lovely start to a morning. (Although I bet that my mornings start out a little quieter than yours!)
Wow…these pictures of your beautiful family warmed my heart! The words touched me too.
You have so much to be grateful for…even with the car troubles and other things going on. We all do!
Thanks for this post…and for reminding us all to be Grateful!
