basking in summer memories. #fridayfaves

some of my favorite things
write yours, join in

dear sky at the lake
how I miss you
and the late night
pontoon rides with my family.
Until next year.

dear caleb,
you are a brave fisherman
and an excellent boat rider.
You looked fabulous in your life jacket
with your freckly face and copper colored hair.

dear geese swimming in the water,
I have watched you for years
in my parents back yard
and chased you from the apples
but seeing you in the bay
reminds me of how beautiful you are.

dear brennan at the park,
you are amazing.
It looks like you can fly.

dear grace sitting in the flowers,
sometimes I wish I could just bottle time
and remember
this sweet summer where you just sit in the flowers
and savor and enjoy life.
Love you, sweet one.

dear hannah,
you took the most amazing wedding pictures
of Tom and Camila.
I am so proud of you.

dear old rug outside the sliding door,
thank you for doing your job
for so many years.
However,
I think I need to replace you.

dear samuel,
you are just too cute.
crazy cute.
even with your shaggy hair that needed a cut.

dear elijah running off to the park,
even though you are busy
and run
and run
and run
I love your energy and spunk and determination.
Even when I have to chase you.

dear elijah in the slide,
just one more time
I love you.
You busy one.

dear chloe,
I’ve been so blessed playing cards with you.
I look forward to our morning game of Split
and sitting down and laughing about life.
You’re a dear.

dear water splashing,
beautiful.
simply beautiful
and so incredible
peaceful.

dear woodland,
you are now just
beautiful and wonderful memories
as
we’ve been home almost a week now.
50 weeks to go
until we come back.

Am here praying!
Psalms 27:1, 4-5 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?…One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
