But first, you must know exactly how much I love my Oreck Forever Series Gold Vacuum. Here’s the scoop — I actually look forward to vacuuming now. Seriously. Sometimes I want my kids to spill that bowl of crumbly chips or cereal all over my carpet so that I can pull out my Oreck vacuum and clean it all up. Perfectly. Every. Single. Time.

Benefits for me, the busy mom of seven, that this Oreck provides? Here are just a couple of the multitude of awesomeness reasons. First? the ultra-long cord. I can vacuum great distances without ever switching the outlet. I used to be a slave to the outlet — not anymore — I can clean and clean and clean. Second, and probably the most important, I love the suction power. My carpets that I thought for sure needed to be replaced look almost new. Here’s a cool one. On the side of the vacuum are these little brushes that stick out. Want to know why? Here’s the secret — it vacuums right up to the edge of my baseboards. I don’t have to go around with the crevice tool every single time. Love.

I got their cool Ultimate Hand Vac as well. Not a day goes by where I don’t use it. First off, the pole extends. Did you read that? Not only does this have the amazingly long cord like the vacuum, but it has a pole that extends smoothly and easily. Now my ceilings in my vaulted main floor are all free of cobwebs. Without a ladder. It was just me and my trusty Oreck cleaning the vaults. Curtains cleaned. Cabinets vacuumed out. Under the fridge. Top of the ledge. Couch. Front step. Steps. Back porch mat. Upstairs hall way ceilings. Toaster. Car. All clean. And easy.

Ooooooo, I love that! Pick me! Pick me! We are in a ‘new’ house with more carpet than ever (we went from mostly hardwood). I need this vacuum cleaner! 🙂

I think the inner helps bag is an incredible feature. With small children, people with asthma in my home, and 4 pets that would be such a comforting feeling that over 99% of the pollutants in my home are trapped inside the vacuum. Thanks for the chance!

I struggle with allergies (as well as the rest of my family) and my mother has asthma. A new vacuum with the HEPA filter bags would be such an awesome blessing for us and our lungs!

HEPA Filtration!!! Gotta LOVE that!! Also, I love that it is light in weight – 9 lbs only! My current vacuum is sooo heavy and I dread lugging it around.

I learned that the Oreck Forever Series Gold Vacuum Cleaner has a HEPA filter. Since our vacuum is over 20 years old, that’s something that I usually don’t think about since we’ve never had a HEPA filter in a vacuum before!

i learned that it uses a HEPA inner bag. Meaning As air passes through the HEPA inner bag, it captures at least 99.97% of particles at .3 microns from that air, which includes: pollen, house dust, smoke, animal dander and mold spores

i would love this we just moved in a house that has all old carpets. would love to sucks all of that out of our rug…

A question for you, Rachel: does it switch from carpet to wood floors well? We have both in our house, and our current vacuum doesn’t do anything but carpet. (Well, it SAYS it does, but it doesn’t!)

I love your blog – and wanted to say thank you for the opportunity. I read the entire blog, and love all of the oreck’s features. I learned that when paired with the little hand-held unit, it might work even better than my old faithful canister vac! (thinking I can have the kids both vacuum at once…let them do the stairs…get all levels done in one day for a change…oh the possibilities!) Nice stuff, and still get the HEPA filter bags. Bonus! 🙂

I found out that Oreck makes canister vacs. I did not know this! I’ve been looking at canisters for several months, now. Also, I learned that the vac you are giving away is good on hard floors. Fabulous, since many uprights aren’t. Excited about this!

I visited Oreck.com and learned that this vacuum has a 35′ power cord! That would be wonderful! And it glides from carpet to bare floors! So many great features! I recently borrowed one of these and I agree, they are amazing!

I LOVE that it is lightweight and has a HEPA Filter! I thought my Kirby would be the last vacuum I would ever buy but I HATE it! 20 years old and it weighs a TON!

I learned that not only extremely lightweight, but with the two speed motor its able to handle both the heavy duty carpets and hardwood floors, but can also easily and gently clean the more delicate throw rugs too.

What I learned by visiting Oreck.com:
That the vacuum can be used on bare floors! This would be a God send in my home of all would floors that should all be swept and dusted all day. Oreck also provides 3 tune ups a year! HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!
