{probably tired and with a full brain}
learning about blogging and enjoying friends.
However, Friday Favorite Things must go on.
This week is the 50th week it has been a link up
and that means it is nearing it’s one year anniversary.
One year of friends, and bloggers, and writers all
intentionally seeking the good, the joy, and the beauty in everyday.
That is beyond cool
and I am beyond blessed by you all.
{and, sigh, it’s from last week, but look at it}
it was so incredibly delicious.
Hot from the oven, with butter
simply divine.
that my children shell
even though I buy them in a bag from Costco.
That’s the newest trend in my household
saving seeds from things and planting them
trying to make them grow – in the midst of winter.
sitting at my parent’s table
looking innocent and so cute.
{remember how I told you he got into the sugar?}
this winter has been mainly mild
we’ve got some great outside shots with fall coats
{like this one}
in the snow
on a day when it wasn’t so mild.
crazy Minnesota weather
we go from 45 degrees to snow to 45 degrees again.

I was helping Elijah get out of his wet snowpants
{which we did on my front step as it was fairly warm and he was fairly soaked}
and had him lean on me.
It is such a beautiful moment in motherhood that would be easy to overlook.
Hannah was taking pictures and she told me my hat was sticking up weird.
Yep, that’s me, master of fashion.
And, that’s also why in those pictures above of Elijah and myself I no longer have a hat on.
Just messy hat hair.
our gigantic snowman
sitting in the backyard
which will probably be there for most of spring

I love that last photo of they young man looking at his giant snow man…I really like your new button!!!
Being leaned on, that is one I indeed love and often overlook. What a blessing it is to feel the love and security they feel in being able to lean on us. How unbelievably precious those moments are.
Happy Friday Rachel!
I have been reading you blog for a short time, and noticed that you have a son who is gluten-free. I am doing a high school sciencce fair project that’s dues on tuesday (eeeekk!) about gluten/gluten-free. can you suggest any good resources?

Aww, sugar snap peas remind me so much of my childhood. Beautiful photos & words.
Gluten free bread??!! When Hannah posted about the bread I completely thought it was “gluten” bread! Now I have hope for gluten free bread. 🙂 it looks delicious. Would you mind sharing the recipe? My family is gluten free and I would love to make bread for all of us to try.
Yummy. I love fresh, hot homemade bread. Too bad I almost never make any. Maybe I will get inspired and go make a loaf.

Your GFree bread looks amazing!!! We’ve been trying a gfree diet and I really admire you. It is so much harder than I could imagine. We are fortunate to not have the consequences of celiac disease but we advised to try it by our doctor. Such a beautiful picture of you & Elijah. I hope you are having a great time at Blissdom!!

Hope you’re having a fantastic time!
Stopping by to let you know that you’re always in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 91:1-2, 4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Looking forward to hearing all about your trip! That was sure fast!
Whatever the Lord allows to happen in your life, He’ll get you through! Praying right now!
Psalms 91:9-12 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
