I know you all come here for my amazing movie reviews, and I’m glad that I can make them a favorite and regular feature of finding joy. I’ve enjoyed all the time that I’ve spent writing each one and hope that they’ve blessed you. Okay. Sigh — this is the first movie review/recommendation that I’ve EVER written. But, I saw an amazing movie last night and really wanted to share it with you.

Our church went together and we saw the movie Courageous. It was inspiring, challenging, poignant, and one that I think should be seen.  Here’s the trailer, my friends — watch it — and then go see the movie. Today.

Just so you know, this movie was produced by the same team that produced Fireproof and Facing the Giants {which happens to be one of our family’s favorites}. Here’s the website : courageousthemovie

disclaimer – this review was done all on my own and I paid the entire $23 to see the movie in the theater {which was full} with some dear friends of mine. We laughed and cried — and left challenged and grateful. And, just so you know, I totally think the price is worth it.

Have any of you seen it yet?
Do you have plans to?

From the opening scene it looks like it would be a good one. I’ll have to check it out. Btw…I love your makeover!

We want to see it, but with 4 of us and movie prices not sure it’s in the budget. But I do like to support such movies in the theaters, so we will try. Glad you liked it. I’ve seen the trailer and think it looks great.

Nice to read such an independent glowing review, and our family enjoyed the other two movies made by the Kendricks brothers as well. Our budget doesn’t allow for us to go see movies in the theater, however we made an exception for this one. In fact my husband and son should just be leaving the theater now after seeing this movie. 😉 (My daughter and I will wait until we can view it on Netflix.)

I’ve heard so many wonderful comments about this movie from the folks at American Family Radio. We’ll have to make plans to see it. I hear that Seven Day in Utopia is another wonderful movie too.

I love, love your new blog look. Your children are just precious!

Happy, happy weekend!

Continuing to lift up prayers!
Psalms 31:1-3 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.

Hubby and I saw it over the weekend. It was SO funny AND SO sad. Truly worth going to see it in the theater. Another positive note, the movie theater was almost sold out! Hubby and I had to sit in the first row (up front) because that was the only place we could find two seats together. That was the first time I had ever seen a movie theater so packed for a Christian movie.
