I want to remember.
a little boy sitting at the table
with a box of crayons
and a much loved coloring book
contemplating what color to choose next
and four little letters perched above the cabinet
reminding me of the important
these little moments of childhood innocent
and playing games
and feeling content
are beautiful.
So grateful
to have captured these snippets in time.
Now, grab your camera
find your ordinary
and forever remember it
as beautiful.

I love how you’ve captured these ordinary, yet very special moments!
I love that last picture. perfect. I hve not grabbed my camera in so long. Thanks for the inspiration!
So sweet, what a great reminder. Love the pictures.
yes, yes, yes! i love remembering the little things because in the end, life is made up of lots of little things. sweet, sweet pictures.
What precious pictures! You will treasure these always. Some people have lipstick in their purse, me? I have a camera. You never know when you will see that wonderful, or unusual thing, as portrayed on my blog today.
I DO need to capture more moments! These are wonderful 🙂
I’ve read your blog for a while now and I’ve always been so inspired by it 🙂 Thanks for sharing your life and experiences so that others can find joy in their lives!
Love this! Beautiful photos…
It’s amazing how God leads people to the same thoughts – with a personal touch for each of us. I posted just today how a mama finds such joy watching their babies grow – and such heavy in letting their babies go. I’m touched by how a mama will catch moments like you have – be able to see that importance – God bless you for being such a loving mama Amy. It’s moms like you that teach me so much about God’s love.
A very important. PS – it wasn’t until I poked around – and I noticed that you weren’t Amy (@raising_arrows). Duh – you’re Rachel (@finding_Joy) Rachel. I got here today, because Amy tweeted about your post – I thought it would take me to a post by her. Like this was my first comment on your blog – it would have been my first comment on hers. Funny how things work. I’m glad I caught this so you’d know I knew where I was – and who you were. I didn’t – but I do now. All that make sense? I guess now I better go tweet your post – because it’s full of awesome! oh, and I just followed you on Twitter – so don’t be spooked when you see this face “following” your tweets. ツ
*sigh* Such sweet pictures and normal moments that we will forget if we don’t get them on camera. I got sentimental with my baby boy this morning, although my pics were from my cracked camera phone, but it doesn’t matter. Now they are captured forever. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Rachel, I always love every one of your posts. I walk away from reading them so grateful that the Lord blessed me with motherhood. I can say from experience that time does fly and those opportunities for those special moments become distant memories. My girls are grown and now I am experiencing these simple yet huge moments with my grandchildren. I am also so thankful I have always taken gobs of pictures…even back in the day when you had to get your film developed. My favorite part of my walmart trip each week was the trip to the photo department. ALL of the workers knew me by name. lol. They would get my pictures ready when they saw me walk up. I wouldn’t trade my photo albums and all the memories inside of them for anything 🙂
Have you SEEN my facebook page?! ;o)
We have such amazing eyewitness testimony of Jesus! No matter what happens, in Him you can still have joy! Praying!
1 John 1:1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
