abundance of gluten free flours
that are available
and that help Christmas Cookies seem
like they are normal
{even though I still get frustrated making them}
and make them taste good.
aprons
probably the only time of the year
that you will find me wearing one
but otherwise I would be covered in flour
all gluten free
of course.
the boy
sweet Elijah
who blesses me with his words
so many times through the day
he’ll simply say
“I love you mom.”
and often it’s simply out of the blue
and just because
(and ignore the pumpkin craft that’s still on the door)
abundance of sprinkles
and little boys
like my Elijah
who are absolutely
enthralled by the possibilities
of sprinkles
covering soon to be cut cookies.
molasses
for my favorite
moravian gingerbread cutouts
that I actually like better
gluten free
and, grin, really
and, grin, really
I think I might just like
molasses.
gluten free mama flour
which is my hands down gluten free flour blend
(we buy the almond based one)
as it can be substituted for regular flour
as long as you add a bit of
xanthum gum
which makes me feel like a chemist.

I am thankful for your gluten free success as well. You are a good momma working so hard to keep that stuff away from that precious little boy.
Thank you so much for hosting! Merry Christmas!
Thanks for this beautiful glimpse of your family & for hosting! May you all have a blessed Christmas!
My favorite things were my kids and grands gathering here last night for Emma’s 8th birthday then coming back 12 hours later for our family gift opening. Today was the only day we cold get everyone together! And since all the grands had new toys to play with (although they wanted to play with everyone else’s toys), for brief moments everyone was in a relatively small place and there was peace and quiet! That is priceless!
May your roots go down deep into the Lord and His Word. Continuing in prayer!
Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Strange that there’s hardly any entries over here…and it’s been two days! Guess everyone’s still out doing last minute shopping? We opened our gifts yesterday so no more shopping for my family!
We have eyewitness testimony of the Savior. What comfort this gives in time of need! Praying!
1 John 1:1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Glad we’re friends on FB so I know that you’re okay!
We have hope because of a babe born in Bethlehem. Praying!
Luke 2:1-14 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
