Yesterday, I hosted a design day at my home for homeschool girls fifth grade and older. My great friend, Amy –who designs amazing, and I mean amazing bracelets (check her out at legacybracelets ….), came and led the design morning. This months project? Creating beautiful scrapbook pages for each girls mom. What I love about the day is that it on each page, each girl wrote a prayer to the Lord thanking them for their moms. It was touching. As I typed each one up I would find myself tearing up at the sweet words these girls wrote.
Here are some pictures of the pages my daughters- Hannah, Chloe and Grace- made for me. I love them so much, and already know that I will cherish them in the years to come. It amazes me what they treasured — from the prayers I pray with Grace before ballet, to my faith, to my willingness to be a bit silly. Those things matter!

What do you love to do for Mother’s Day?
We’ve done brunches before, but as each year passes on I’ve realized that I don’t really like the brunch thing. I have to get everyone ready, and then I need to keep order in a fancy-shmancy place. I prefer a calmer day. My Mother’s Day present of choice? A shopping trip to the local nursery. I love, love, love flowers and gardening. There are few things I enjoy more than browsing the rows of fresh blooms and dreaming of them growing in my own soil.

Rachel – Beautiful post!!!!
i love your view on life – the moment i get on my computer…i go to your blog! Love it. THank you for the comment you left on my blog. (no worries about length?!) i appreciate the insight and wisdom you have. i am so thankful to have you as a living example of who a woman, wife, mother, and friend of God can be. THANK you.
The scrapbook pages are beautiful. I am sure you will cherish them forever. My husband loves to bless me with flowers from our local nursery. He normally picks them out and plants them sometime during the month of May. After church though, he takes all of the kids home and gives me the day to myself (at least a few hours). I normally sip coffee while getting my toes done and maybe a little shopping! Happy Day!
Oh what precious memories from your precious babies! As long as I’m with my family I’m content, although good food is always welcome.
Happy Mother’s Day to you!

Those scrapbook pages are wonderful keepsakes! Your flowers are gorgeous too.
It’s so great to see what things about you, as a mom, matter to your kids! Happy Mother’s Day!
Oh, and I’m not sure how you follow, but my Target Giftcard Giveaway is ending this weekend. I’m trying to get my Blogger girls following me again on WP. Thanks! Have a great weekend!

Awesome scrapbook pages.

I love plants, too.
Praying!
Ephesians 3:14-19 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Those scrapbook pages are priceless! I love them!
I am looking forward to my daughters coming over. My married daughter will make vegetarian tacos and my son in law, guacamole and my single girl, an earthquake cake while I make salsa and ceviche. I’m looking forward to spending time with them.
Loving your scrap book pages, so fun and colorful! Mom of seven, I am bowing now in front on my computer, and you have time to squeeze in blogging!you ROCK! Enjoy your day!
Those scrapbook pages are lovely! We honestly have never done much for Mother’s Day. I’m not saying this in a complaining way at all, but my husband doesn’t really show his love for me by giving gifts – he likes to do things for me and spend time with me, which I really appreciate! Today he’s hooking up the swamp cooler so he doesn’t come home to a sweaty, sour-faced, hot wife! I told him that’s my Mother’s Day gift! 😉 Enjoy your day!
Those scrapbook pages are so sweet! The relationship that you have is so sweet. I love that you all are super close. Kinda makes me wish my family was close like that.
Ooh, a scrapbooker and a gardener! A girl after my own heart! Your beds look really good.
