these are a few of my (friday) favorite things
watching Samuel and Elijah sit on the heat vent
laughing as they place napkins on top of it
— that fly upward —
my daffodils from Trader Joes
the sound of the running dishwasher
the 12 minutes of quietness in the car on the ride home from ballet
that the 8inches of snow that fell on Wednesday will melt by Monday
watching the Crow River as it slowly rises
brothers on the couch
hearing Caleb yell for me to “quick look outside at God’s amazing sky” this morning
movie night with Hannah, Chloe and Grace
{this is cute Gracie with her polka dot headband. love her}
watching the movie Emma with my daughters
coffee in the morning after movie night
tapped maples at my parent’s home
talking with my dad about gardening and seeds
having my dad call to tell me he picked up arugula seeds for me
{I had talked with him on Sunday how I wanted to grow arugula}
thinking about how my dad thought of me when he was looking at seeds
being grateful for my loving and giving parents
my gluten free flour
Bible verses to calm my heart
{so I don’t worry}
{which will be happening for Todd next Friday}
lab technicians
listening to Samuel talk
{and not caring}
Have a glorious and thankful Friday.
How about you? Did you have a favorite moment this week?

have a wonderful weekend.
I was going to pick a favorite, but I can’t! Love the polka dot headband, love daffodils, love all your photos, too.
Fridays are the best, expect for when I work saturdays. Which seems to be every other lately. But I’ve got to make money for all the fun shopping I do, and our fertility treatments.
I lvoe your blog. Thanks for the sweet comment. I am following your now.
Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite places! Love thier fresh flowers!! Have you ever been to whole foods? It’s a great place too, and they have the best homemade balsamic dressing ever!
Hope you have a good weekend!

I love your lists. I now realize that I took two from yours…the DVR and the quiet ride. A late night movie sounds great 🙂
What a great list of things to be thankful for!
I too am thankful for our DVR, quiet rides and late night movies. {when I can manage to stay up late, ha!}
Ohhh, how wonderful to have maples in your parents yard!!
DVR is definitely a favorite…This week I’m loving my new sketchbook doubling as a journal & Quiet Time companion. Loving my iPhone and photography apps that make it possible to capture tiny moments.
“Sound of the running dishwasher” – ah, joy to a mother’s ears. However, it does cross my mind sometimes as I push “start” that I’m being lazy. My 2 grandmas – both farmers’ wives, they had 16 children between the 2 of them – never had a dishwasher or power washer/dryer either. So does that mean that one of my favorite things is being lazy? Maybe. 🙂
Heating vents? Ahh..that brings back sweet memories of living up north. My girls loved to sit on the vent and let it puff out their dresses. Down here in TX, all the vents are on the ceiling and it’s 80 degrees outside. So consider that a side benefit of living up north. 🙂
Have a great day – will be praying for your hubby’s test….
What a beautiful family. You have a lot to be thankful for. Love your blog and will be a new follower. Be blessed. P.s. Thanks for the sweet comment.
Oohh wanted to mention. Just planted my first garden. Everything is in bloom. Will post pics this weekend.
Tapped maples – yummy! Love the picture of Gracie – joyful smile for sure.
for oncology appointments and PEACE!
I had a regular doctors appointment today and made him check my lymph nodes just to be safe…it put my mind at ease 🙂
sweet, lovely, wonderful!
I love these beautiful posts. There is beauty all around us.
You asked about Bible Study… “A Life Surrendered” by June Kimmel. It is a study of Philippians, mostly chapter 2.
And, great list as usual. 🙂
