my amazing Caleb
who is almost six years old
love that boy — so much
and this little boy loved John Deere tractors
so much that when he turned three he had a John Deere birthday party
and now I’m grateful because sweet Samuel loves “Don Deewe twactors”
so he plays with all of Calebs
and leaves them on the kitchen bench
and in that kitchen you’ll find
the crackle vase that sits above my sink on the window
filled with late august marigolds
picked by my children
train tracks, play food and pop up toys
spilled over the family room floor
played with by little ones
dear to my heart
my teeny tiny office
nestled by our family room
full of books
and an old green vintage chair
that was my grandfathers
{look familiar? gracie’s photoshoot was with this chair}
And, sigh, now I’m remembering
how I am so blessed by mornings
and time to read
with Samuel and rock and rock and rock
read this beautiful post and poem by my hannah
early mornings
and this little owl
on our garage door
{it’s metal so it’s magnetic….}
made by Brennan
after he saw his big sister Gracie making them
and
markers
yes, messy markers
you see who got into those markers?
which I purchased at Target for $1 {such a great price}
Samuel is so funny
he doesn’t like his messy hands
and yet he keeps coloring them
and finally my Oreck vacuum giveaway
how could I not mention it?
because one of you will be soon sharing pics of you with that sweet vacuum
as your very own friday favorite

Good for you for being happy about markers!! I struggle with them – although my girls love to use them 🙂
I love the tiny office…
all your friday favorite things sound like in my mind (like I can hear your reading) blessings…true joy!

I love Samuel in those glasses. Our living room usually looks the same, and it makes me happy. Because I know happy little children played until their hearts were content.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Isn’t it great that you don’t even have to leave the house to see the joy in the little things. Such a sweet blessing.
