Take a Moment to Dream
Like you did when you were little.
Dream.
Dream Big.
Remember the gift in today.
Celebrate today.
Run
It’s kind of freeing to just run
and let the wind blow in your hair.
It’s a bit of freedom
and like a little blast to the past.
Watch your Kids
And make sure to tell them you
love them like crazy
and that you are proud of them
and how grateful you are that they are part of your family.
Pick some apples.
Find an orchard.
Or go to the store and pretend that you picked apples
and then make a crisp
or a pie
or simply bake apples {hollowed out} at 350 for one hour
{just add cinnamon, sugar and walnuts and a dollop of butter}.
Light some candles
{just keep the little kids away}
there is something peaceful
about having those little lights flickering away.
It creates, at least for me, this chill and relaxed
and very grateful atmosphere.
Be Unique
Wear your glasses upside down
{isn’t he cute?}
Just be bold
and don’t live in the maybes
instead ask why not?
and just keep moving.
and just keep moving.
Play a Game
Or just dump out letters all over the table
and just spend time together
it’s fellowship
{ignore the mess — you can clean it}
and instead embrace today
and time together.
Find Some Bubble Wrap
Or hope FedEx or UPS comes with a package.
And then jump and jump and jump
and let them pop those air bubbles to their delight.
The laughter will be worth it.
Just jump outside – it gets quite loud.
Hugs with those that you love.
Take a moment, find them,
embrace them tell them you love them
you have today
and only one of today
celebrate it.

Thanks as always for a lovely post. Your words and photos are an inspiration. I have a key question, however: what is going on in the background in a couple photos? do you have a string with real leaves hung on it? It’s so cute! I may have to try this…
