Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow
Because we have none here in Minnesota.
We only have cold and dormant brown grass.
Caleb went outside in the 10 minutes when we had flurries
and pretended that it might actually be snowing.
Winter Wonderland
Even though there’s no snow
my little lumberjack boy had a blast outside posing for these pics
with his big sister, Hannah.
I’m so thankful for her love of photography
and, of course, that fabulous red plaid jacket.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
or the day,
according to my Gracie
according to my Gracie
when I picked her up from ballet yesterday
she announced that
today is a good day.
Thankful for that.
And, shhh, I think it might have been due
to the 54cent ring-pop I got her at Target.

Little Drummer Boy
{which happens to be one of my favorite carols}
My Brennan will be singing this on Sunday
for the church Christmas Carol.
Rum-pa-pa-pum
The Nutcracker
Okay, I cheated, as this isn’t really a carol
however this is the week that Chloe and Gracie
{Hannah is out due to her ankle surgery}
{Hannah is out due to her ankle surgery}
will perform in the Nutcracker Ballet.
This is from last year.
Memories.
Love ballet.

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree
Next year, I’m going to have to do a link-up
and see everyone’s cuts from their trees.
Thanks for all the sweet comments about my tree cut tradition.
Run Rudolph Run

Jingle Bells
We’ve got little bells all over the house
and sweet ones who can hardly wait
until our countdown chain reaches the end.
The countdown chain?
Super easy to make.
Super easy to make.
Just add glue and glitter.
Do You Here What I Hear?
And yes, that’s the most important
the truth in the midst of all the busy
and the decorations
and the schedules
Christmas is truly about
The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light.

and the decorations
and the schedules
Christmas is truly about
The child, the child

He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light.
And so now, today, on the week before Christmas
remember the real important
and enjoy the simplicity in the day
and find joy.

My kids love the Little Drummer Boy this year, too!
You never cease to amaze me with your creative posts. Your mind must never stop working. :o)
What a precious picture of Brennan and how I would love to hear him sing.
It sounds like a busy and fun weekend ahead. Enjoy the memory making!
Beauty-Full as always…love the red jacket! No snow here either…strange for this time of year. Kinda miss that cold mess :0p
Flurries, ring pop, carols and the “real important”…it’s the simple things :). Thanks for always reminding us of that.
Another beautiful post, Rachel. I have to say, I loved the red jacket pictures too. 🙂 You have such beautiful children, and I love how you manage to see joy and beauty even in the very normal and everyday things. Thanks for the encouragement and inspiration! Have a very Merry Christmas!
wishing I could take my girls to see your girls in ballet! I did love the tree cuts idea… fun!
precious and sweet pictures. your little lumberjack is handsome, all he needs is one of those knitted beards! HA!
it has been so hot here. i want to dress wintry and cozy but i’d sweat to death. bring on the snow for you and cold for us!
gorgeous Grace picture! can’t wait to see pics of the Nutcracker.
have a lovely weekend my rach!!!
He will bring us goodness and light! amen. what a gift we have in Jesus!!!
I went to my granddaughter’s school “winter” program. She is in kindergarten, and of course the cutest kid there. But I digress, they sang, Hippo song, Grandma got run over…, frosty…and little butterfly. What find of carols are these?
We have been “pretending” that it is snowing here too! Weirdest December ever with no real snow yet in Utah. Sheesh!
Love it!
We are hoping for snow, as well. It’s been cold & clear here in the Pacific NW.
Didn’t realize you were in Minnesota. My eldest daughter moved to Brainerd with her new husband … and then a younger sister followed. So, we have 2 MN girls, now.
Hope your weekend is BLESSED!
