Just because I drink a yucky tasting chocolate protein shake with spinach in it and go to Crossfit and think I will pass out doesn’t mean you have to.
Just because your friend decided to eat all organic and do yoga as the sun rises in the misting rain and only wear cotton doesn’t mean you need to.
Just because there is a new cleanse diet and oils and your friends do it doesn’t mean you need to.
Just because your friend followed a program all the way through and swears by butter in her coffee and can box jump 24inches now doesn’t mean you need to.
Just because your other friend decided she doesn’t need to follow any eating program or work out doesn’t mean you need to.
You need to decide what you need to do.
What you LOVE to do. What is RIGHT for your family.
I get that this social media world is bombarding us with options. But only you know the perfect option for you.
Maybe it’s yoga.
Maybe it’s Crossfit.
Maybe it’s walking.
Maybe it’s a YouTube video.
Maybe it’s nothing.
Maybe it’s organic.
Maybe it’s keto.
Maybe it’s paleo.
Maybe it’s the sale stuff at Kroger.
Maybe it’s vegetarian.
Maybe it’s homeschooling.
Maybe it’s public school.
Maybe it’s private school.
Maybe it’s structured days.
Maybe it’s fluid days.
Maybe it’s exotic vacations.
Maybe it’s hiking in the neighborhood.
Maybe it’s working.
Maybe it’s working at home.
Maybe it’s working part time.
Maybe it’s two jobs.
Maybe it’s staying home.
Maybe it’s volunteering.
Maybe it’s outdoor stuff.
Maybe it’s music.
Maybe it’s coaching.
Maybe it’s cheering.
Maybe it’s single parenting.
Maybe it’s coparenting.
Maybe it’s married parenting.
Maybe it’s, well you get it.
We can’t all be doing the same thing.
That would mean there would be one kind of everything.
One apple, one cheese, one Oreo, one yogurt…. one gym, one… you get the picture.
There’s not.
And we need to learn, like I’ve learned, that I need to do what is best for me in this season.
Without apologizing for it.
Without comparing.
I can learn from my friends.
I can try new things.
I can stop new things.
I can.
So remember that.
You decide for you. I’ll support you.
After all, that’s what friends do.
