I hit some garage sales yesterday. Scratch that–I hit many. One of my finds?
A box of pattern blocks and cards.
Hours of fun. And learning. All for $2. My favorite kind of find.
Who knew learning could be so fun? Shhhhh….don’t tell. 🙂

That’s my Caleb, hard at work. Those blocks? Tucked away. For those days when we just need a task, an activity that’s new and fresh and entertaining. Love those finds — they are a mother’s friend.
Love those sales. And the irony? I’m working on putting my own together right now. We had a neighbor kid bike by our open garage and say, “now that’s a lot of toys.” He’s right. Seven kids = a mammoth sale. 🙂

Great find! Esp. since I bought a set like that from Discovery Toys a few years ago for about $20. Sheesh!
Have a great garage sale! I totally need to clean house as well.
Oh those are the best! I am itching for a good yard sale. Most of the ones I’ve come across lately are “junk” sales!
I love such finds! Yeah for you! 😀
Isn’t that kind of “find” what keeps you going back to garage sales? I does me!
What great photos of intense concentration. I loved them.

you visited my blog from Lynette’s the other day and I just wanted to thank you for your encouragment… I am always glad to hear from those who have gone through cancer before me…I’m early in my diagnosis (about two months)so I am still going through the process of acceptance…
I’ve enjoyed purusing your blog, your writing is great…
