the rat king will be no more

by Rachel Marie Martin

After 3months of driving to ballet almost 6times a week the day has arrived.

Finally.

The Nutcracker performance is today.

I’ve joked how I’m exhausted — but it’s my daughters — Hannah, Chloe, and Grace, that are the real exhausted ones.  Well, exhausted and running on adrenaline.  Sheer adrenaline.

Pictures will be coming.  Until then — think of us — and especially my ballet beauties. Would you pray that they are healthy and have stamina?  And that they enjoy the fruits of their labor? They worked hard. Very, very hard.  I am extremely proud of them.

Here’s a teaser pic — from last year. 🙂  Now I’m off to put buns in, pull out rag-rollers, and apply some make up.  Here we go!

Hannah

Curious where my girls dance? We love our classical ballet studio — North Ballet.  Here’s a little teaser video. If you look really closely you might find my daughters. 🙂 In fact there’s a scene with just pointe shoes, and a back being adjusted, and a dancer turning — that’s my Hannah. Enjoy!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

I have boys so…. ballet isn’t really a thing around here. 😉

Your daughter is adorable!

I love watching ballet. It is such a beautiful art and it is so graceful at the same time. Hannah looks beautiful in the pic above, and I wish she and Chloe and Grace best of luck! ^_^

I can relate!! My kids use to do musical theatre and there were many performances during the year. It isn’t the lessons that drain you but the practice before the performance and the stage prep that I use to help with too. 🙂
I am sure you heart will be bursting as they dance on stage.
I will be praying for energy and you all enjoy this special moment.

God Bless,
<><

So wonderful…..praying their performance is blessed beyond measure from the hand of God.

I am actually taking my daughter to see the Nutcracker today….I’m embarrassed to say, I’ve never seen it before, so I think my daughter and I are both in for a treat!

Can’t wait to hear how their performance went.

I can’t wait to see the pictures. I enjoy ballet and it amazes me how strong these kids have to be. It is a lot of work. Good job mom for all that running you deserve a round of applause.

Oh, so wish that I could have been there for the performance. Our daughter was in ballet for several years and I always enjoyed the performances. It is such an art and a whole lot of hard work.

Can’t wait to see pictures!

Continuing to pray as always!
Psalms 86:1-3 Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
