Time moves so incredibly fast.
I am writing this at 11:48pm.
Yes, that late.
You’ll find out why later in the post.
For now, these are this week’s favorite things.
anything with the Trader Joe’s logo
I don’t know what it is about those two words
on a package of food
like leeks, carrots, or mushrooms
but their branding is brilliant.
Makes me want to buy.
Makes me want to eat. 🙂
Makes me want to eat. 🙂
Brennan hard at work in the middle of the day
sitting and drawing
while the late afternoon sun shines on the table.
Love the sun and my own son.
Favorite.
All About Reading
{and All About Spelling}
I’ve been blessed to be able to review both products
one for Hip Homeschool Moms
and one here.
Here’s my affiliate link — All About Learning

Review coming — sometime in April.
Daffodils
{bought at Trader Joe’s, of course}
that are already starting to slightly open.
They signify spring is coming.
Eventually.
Oreck. Oreck. Oreck.
I love that company.
Next week I am so blessed to be able to attend Blissdom
thanks to my sponsorship from Oreck.
I am excited to go to Nashville, to learn more about blogging,
to network, and to grow.
to network, and to grow.
Oreck — thank you — so so much.
Caleb
standing by the All About Reading books
{you can’t tell that he’s excited, can you?}
I am going to start him in the middle
and Elijah in the beginning.
This is a tremendous blessing for our family to use this curriculum.
My piano music
that I’ve had since I was in high school
that I still play
and that still has fingering written in from years ago.
I love Mozart’s music.
and finally my Teavana tea
I received a gift card for my birthday
and finally stopped there today.
White Chai, Samurai Chai, Earl Grey, and more.
Great tea = favorite thing.
Oh yes, and why am I writing this at now 12:18 am?
Well, last night my siblings blessed me with tickets
to the Minnesota Wild Hockey game.
I love hockey.
Really.
I grew up playing hockey on my parent’s pond
and attending Minnesota North Stars hockey games.
This was a wonderful, wonderful present.
These pics of my sisters and me?
{I’m the one in the middle in gray}
Taken w/cell phones. Blurry.

But still very much a favorite.

Oh Mozart, how I love thee! Have you listened to “The Magic Flute” from Classical Kids? LOVE how they get us to enjoy the music even more!
And tea! I have just discovered loose leaf- I feel like I’ve been under a rock…I can’t drink anything else but loose leaf now!
I buy any and everything from Traders just because it looks that good in the store. Problem is, I get home and panic because I don’t know what to do with the stuff! I’ve never cooked with leeks but I wanna try!!!
I like seeing pics of your sisters! I am jealous of them. ; )
I’m so sorry for not linking up today! I had to share something that was heavy on my heart last night and I couldnt seem to weave the favorite angle in. I feel like the worst friend ever! I love ya and I’ll be back next week.
I love the simplicity and beauty of Mozart – it makes me happy to play his music too. 🙂 (or just to listen!)
Would like to hear more about your new reading program…post more as you use it!
I just recently tries some tea from Teavana…it is indeed heaven! Have a lovely weekend Rachel!

Love Mozart. Have allegro on top of my piano at all times. And also, now I need to go to Trader Joe’s tomorrow. Oh how I have missed them. It is much further away, but I just love being in that store! Glad you had fun at the hockey game with your fam!
Soooo cool that you are trying out All About Reading! I LOVE All About Spelling! It has done wonders for my kids!
And, of course, I love the Mozart! I need to play more often. My fingers ache to play.
And daffodils! Such a symbol of hope and renewal! I may need to get some myself…
Have a beautiful Friday!!
I LOVE teavana. And I can’t wait for spring to show up so I can see all the daffodils in my front yard too.
Have a great weekend!
I wish I played the piano. I sing, but can’t really play. Heck, I would love to listen to you play the piano!
That tea looks absolutely fabulous… my goodness! Please enjoy a cup for me! 🙂
I have that same piano song and learned hot to play it in high school too! : )
happy belated bday xoxo
OH, I just LOVE Trader Joe’s. There are TWO in my area…and they have some of the funiest labels on their products, too. One time I bought some of their powdered dishwaser detergent…It said “Trader Joe’s Dishwasher Detergent…cleanliness is next to godliness” Oh, and on something like salsa, it might say Trader Jose’s..or on a French soap it might say Trader Jacque 🙂 🙂 Love that store. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather 🙂
