Be a friend who gives back. A friend who understands boundaries. A friend who gives.
Be a friend who decides hours of the day aren’t as important as being there when needed. Be a friend who listens. A friend who forgives.
Be a friend who cares about the details. A friend who remembers. A friend who tries.
Be a friend who loves deeply. Who gets that sometimes time will pass and there isn’t much connection and yet the friendship still matters. A friend who is willing to be there.
Be a friend who lets go of the petty. A friend who believes in dreams and cheers on. A friend who sees the goal.
Be a friend who fixes crowns.
Be a friend who wipes tears
Be a friend who gives hugs.
Be a friend who shares hearts.
Be a friend who stands in the gap.
Be a friend who sees.
Be a friend who is a friend you need.
Sometimes we spend so much time looking that we forget the giving.
Friends are priceless.
And chances are, when you love and give and show up, even in the imperfection, you are that to another soul.
It matters.
Your friendships matter.
Be a friend today.

ps….today, take a moment and think about those friends in your life. And then, let them know just how priceless they have been to you and your story.

I took the advice in your P.S. and just texted a long-time friend. Thanks for the reminder about how valuable friendships are, and how important it is to be a friend, too.

I preach this all the time! So often, I have felt an urge to reach out to a particular friend not realizing how much that friend needed me. It’s such a simple effort with a huge reward! We get busy in our own world with kids, job, and life……but listening to your gut or doing a simple act of kindness can overcome all the lesser things. It also helps to enjoy the simple things that mean the most!
I have a poem called “Vagabond Poet” and its about strangers always tell me thier life story when they first meet me…it’s cool. I would be honored to share it with you. I am willing to bet you may “grok” it.
I love to straighten crowns and watch my friends smile
