I love little moments with my children. More often, they’re not planned — they’re those times that just happen. I’ve learned to savor those sweet, blessed, moments in time. Time is fleeting. The little ones grow.
They won’t fit in my lap forever.
So, today, I read. The same story again and again and again and again….
and again.
Hannah asked me to host Lovely Photo Wednesday for her one more time. Thanks for linking in — I’m really grateful — I wanted to keep Hannah’s project up and running. Now, I’m going to have a hard time giving this up when she returns. I’ve been blessed getting to view your pictures and getting glimpses into your lives.
(Hannah told me to remind you…..)
…. to link up and comment on at least 3 other blogs. 🙂

There are stories and books that I’ve read so many, many times that I practically can recite them word for word. It is so cute when they make us read again and again. 🙂
Lovely photo!
I love that! So sweet! We have several books we read over and over and know every word.
I have memorized several books this way. Precious picture.
I remember doing the same thing with my boys too. I can remember my eldest once being able to recite one of his books to me as he loved it so much – all about the adventures of a tractor on the farm.
Little Samuel looks like he is enjoying himself so much.
Rachel this is my first time joining in with Hannah’s meme.
his smile is so… BIG and contagious!!! too presh! did you cut your hair w/ out telling me? ; ) did i miss where you mentioned it? or maybe you didn’t cut it, it just looks like it. or maybe you did mention it and i forget.? i can’t remember. either way, you are a beauty!!! cherish these moments! i did the same thing yesterday with the kids, read the same book a few times and just thought about how one day this would only be a memory. how blessed we are!
Lovely capture…
What a sweet pic!
Couldn’t agree more! Such a sweet moment captured.
This is so sweet! I’m always amazed at how kids can hear the same story or watch the same movie a gazillion times and not be bored with it! 🙂
One of the sweetest times is reading with our children.
How is Samuel feeling? I’ve been praying for him.
Hee! hee! I read the same book so many times to the kiddos . i think I know it memorized. about the pictures I posted…that was about 2 weeks ago when my husband and I got away for the weekend up to Door County. I think those were from the Lake Michigan side.
And the snow… oh! Don’t get me started on that. I am not a winter kinda gal but I can’t run away from the snow here in Wisconsin.
Is Sam doing any better? Praying for you all!
Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed week my friend!

Awesome picture! They grow up so quickly. My 3 year old loves to read certain books over and over again, too 🙂
that is beautiful!
What a great moment caught! So sweet!

So sweet! 🙂
A beautiful moment to capture. 🙂
I am dreading the day when Princess no longer wants me to read to her. I will be proud that she is able to read for herself, but the loss of all those moments cuddles together sharing a book ….
Thanks for stopping by, happy WW!
Aww cutie Samuel! And you look so beautiful & youthful! : )
Re-reading the same story over & over again sure does require a lot of patience, but I’m glad you’re savoring the moment.
I so remember this. You’ll do it again with the grand babies. My son turned 40 this year and we are expecting our first great grandchild. Time marches on.
Have a terrific WW. 🙂
Love this photo!!
I love it when GG climbs up in my lap…so sweet! You’re right this won’t last forever, savor every minute! They’re only young once and at 15months it’s already passing much too quickly!
Isn’t it amazing how they enjoy it the last time it was read as much as the first time. So cute! I’m now reading to the Grans, and you won’t believe how quickly the time will pass and you’ll also be reading to your Grans and this time will be but a memory.
You are such a great Mom and your jewels will be many for sure!
Oh what sweet memories! I was just talking with a friend today about how I missed those days. I pray you enjoy each & every one of them!
Love pics of you two together!
Know that you’re in my thoughts and prayers!
Isaiah 25:8-9 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
