Samuel this morning |
this is Hannah.
Sam has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease.
Right now, he’s very sick and my mom is heading back to Childrens.
I know that she’s worn out and Sam even more so.
If you could all pray for him, that would be a huge blessing. He’s in so much pain right now.
thank you so much — all of you are such blessings to my mom and our family.

Thank you, Hannah, for posting this for your mom. She is such a sweet lady and she certainly has some awesome kids. Prayers are going up for all of you right now, most especially sweet little Samuel.
Praying. Thank you for letting us know.
Praying for you as you seek resolve and solutions for Samuel. It’s hard when there is so much uncertainty yet GOD IS CERTAIN and HE WILL BE FAITHFUL to guide you EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!
My husband was sick for quite sometime before they finally reached a diagnosis of UC (an autoimmune disease. He had test after test after test, eventually landing us at the Mayo Clinic and once the doctors finally reached a diagnosis, we were able to sort out options and treatment plans. The waiting is the hardest… Now that you have the answers you have been looking for I will pray that the proper avenues of healing will be clearly evident to you!
May the Lord be your strength!

Yesterday at church our pastor spoke from 2 Samuel 5 and Mark 2. In 2 Samuel, David was shown to “inquiry of the Lord” before battle. And, he had to do this more than once. As the body, we are to also inquire of God how we should move, and how we should pray. Then, in Mark 2, we see the four friends bringing their paralytic friend to Jesus. It speaks of their faith but does not mention the paralytic man’s. The men saw their friend, who could not get himself to the Master, and they knew that Jesus had better for him. If they could just bring him to where Jesus was… they joined together in unity of faith and their friend was healed. I share this because, I, too, believe that your Samuel deserves better, and I will join with you and your community of believers to bring your Samuel before the Master. I will inquire of the Lord on his behalf. And, just as David had to inquire of the Lord each time, I will continue to lift you and your sweet, precious boy up in prayer and supplication over and over. Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your journey in this way. May the comfort of Jesus surround you. May you find rest and peace beyond explanation in this time. May the Master’s hand touch sweet Samuel this day. May all that is not right begin to function in a new and healthy way. Lord, bring healing to Samuel. Take away his pain. Lord, You formed this boy, You know the very fabric of his being…align his digestion. Renew his strength and health. Breathe Your strength into his Mama as well. Guard her heart from fear, and guard her body from illness and weariness. Pour out Your loving kindnesses to over flowing.
Prayerfully…

I just found your blog today. I am so sorry that you and your son have to go through this. I have been there. My son has a lot of stomach issues. I tried the gluten free diet for both of us a couple of times (for about 7 months the first time) to see if it helped with his pain. He had an endoscopy this fall, along with a barium xray, a pH probe, and many other tests. I know how hard it is to see your baby laying on that table. I pray that you will find comfort in the fact that your son has a disease that can be treated. He WILL get better with time, so hang in there. As far as the diet goes, it is a bit hard in the beginning, but you will learn more things you can eat all the time. Also, I have heard that some kitchen appliances should be replace, because gluten sticks to things. My son ended up not having celiac disease, but I really feel for you and all you are going for.
Continuing to pray here as well!

Psalms 23:1-3 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Psalms 23:4-6 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
