{I just had to post one more picture of my Elijah and his mustache.}
On Sunday I made a quick run to the grocery store — for what? I have no idea. I do, however, clearly remember walking back into my home. As soon I opened the front door I was greeted by Todd and Elijah. Waiting. I could hear the amusement in Todd’s voice as he told Elijah to look up at me – and as soon as I saw that black marker smeared above his lips I started to laugh. That’s my boy. Mustache Man.
Then my laughing turned to quick parental worry as I wondered if he found the permanent marker. That I keep on top of the fridge. Because we’ve had disasters with permanent markers. Like black ink all over my main level floors. Or on the whitebeadboard paneling in the family room. So now, I try to hide them. Very, very well.
Thankfully, Mister Elijah’s marker mustache was made with just plain ol’Crayola markers.
And that permanent one? Even further hidden.
And thankfully, he didn’t decide to draw on those floors again.
Or add a mustache to his little brother….
Sigh. Almost four year olds. 🙂
He really does make me smile.

Ha! What a cutie. I love that Todd didn’t wash it off and save it for you to see. Four year olds get into plenty. I was amazed yesterday that Caleb was able to reach something in the kitchen that I thought he was too short to get to…they grow so fast.
Reason #768 why I love Magic Erasers – Emma did get a hold of a perm marker (Silver) and decided to draw all over my kitchen cabinet, but the Magic Eraser took it right off!!
My you have to smile – that little face with the mustache is just way too adorable!!!
I love the mustache – adds character. 🙂
That is so cute! I am a new follower!
He looks so handsome with that mustache!
what IS it with kids and permanent markers? I’m glad it was just the crayola kind!
this is so fun. i must add that he drew the mustache pretty darn well. i’m guessing this won’t be the last of it. ; )
How stinkin cute!
I’m guessing he’ll be one of the boys sporting facial hair as an adult, maybe? Adorable photos! My 10 year old seems to often have a mustache, only his or of the food & drink kind.
SO cute!!!
He is adorable!!! So glad it wasn’t permanent marker (this time)! We found rubbing alcohol to work the best when we needed to clean permanent marker off, whether off skin or table. And that reminds me I need to see if that works on the stone slab in front of the fireplace where Little Miss wrote MOM 😀 (Can’t be angry about that!!)
Such cute pics, glad you captured your Little Man’s first ‘stache!
