{slow down summer}
skipping through the sprinklers
and me
running to the store to grab vanilla ice cream and rootbeer
and then surprising the family
with
rootbeer floats for dessert
sweet emails
encouraging me in my homeschool journey
which stemmed from this post describing our homeschool space
where we learn
my ankle bracelet
purchased in Hilton Head
that I’ve worn to all my doctor’s appointments
and my MRI’s
and my physical therapy
{and thank you for your continued prayers}
fresh tomatoes with basil
or cantaloupe to share
{I always cut my melon in a baking pan — catches the juices — less mess}
and eggs made in the morning
for sweet little boys
lined up waiting on the bench at the table
love
thankful {again} for Maria, my friend
who, by the way, sang
The National Anthem
at the Minnesota Twins Game
{by herself. not kidding. makes me shake just thinking about it}
{and video coming next week. you will NOT believe how perfectly calm she looks}
{she’s my hero –and friend}
and what’s more summery than baseball?
or those same boys of mine
doing the wave
at home
for Maria
well, maybe it wasn’t exactly the wave
but it sure was cute.
so set those sprinklers
play with your kids, and laugh, and tell your friends you love them
and really embrace and enjoy the rest of the summer.

Love those sweet little toes hanging off the bench. 🙂 And I know this isn’t one of your Friday favorites but just seeing your pics makes me a wee bit jealous of that lovely soft, green grass – ours has been brown and crispy for a looooong time.

I love you, friend!!! : )
You look so young in those pictures outside playing with the kids. You are young but you look even younger than you are! And you’re so pretty, although that goes without saying.
I saw the video on fb that Hannah posted. Maria has an amazing voice – what a beautiful talent she is!
Have fun at the ballet recital today!!! I hope one day I can see your ballerinas dance.
