Finally, finally, finally,
it is almost fall.
We’ve been waiting around here for cooler temps
{which haven’t really come yet}
and the return of routine.
these are my favorite moments

dear little boy Elijah who loves to play slapjack
thanks for playing with me
and your sister
and for not slapping at certain times
so that I could win as well.
dear big sister Grace
who played slapjack
with her little brother Elijah
you bless me with the time
you spend playing with him.
dear picnic table outside
thank you for being there
for those moments
when little boys needed to paint their
letter from their
All About Pre-Reading Lesson
dear All About Learning Press

dear brown organic eggs from Costco
you are one of our favorite things to buy
{and eat}
thank you for providing wonderful breakfasts
and lunches
and sometimes dinners
at our home
dear samuel eating eggs in the morning
{a fabulous egg dish with bearnaise made by big sister chloe}
you are adorable
and so content and focused
while you enjoy those delicious eggs.
dear breakfast
that chloe made
you were absolutely wonderful
{and to see a beautiful post about it read – a simple summer breakfast}
I could eat those eggs with beanaise sauce much more often.
dear little feet sitting at my farm table
resting on the bench
I will miss seeing you someday
so for now
I will remember and love those little feet curled up on the bench.
dear sprinkler running
part of my favorite part of fall is that soon
I don’t have to wake up early in the morning
and place the sprinkler out on our
drought suffering yard.
dear piano keys
{on my almost 100 year old piano}
thank you for the many years and years of music
that you have provided.
and finally
dear samuel
it has been such a blessing watching you
discover the joy of paint
and your joy
has brought me joy.

And, once again, your children are so precious. I love seeing their pictures.
It is suppose to be 57 in the morning and we’re beyond excited. It has been so hot and humid since Issac came through.
Have a wonderful weekend!
we are looking forward to fall around these parts as well – my kids are barely contained for snow! (EHHH)
Thank you for reminding us that the simple joys of each day are the greatest gifts!
I so look forward to reading your Friday post every week. Your photos are gorgeous, your words inspiring. Thank you for these lovely posts.

Not sure why, but the toes under the table are heart gripping! Love those little toes, and am so sad that they don’t stay little! My son wears the same size shoe as me now!!!

I have also been looking forward to the cooler temperatures of Fall! Looks like you had a great week.
Thanks for inviting me, Rachel! I know I’m a little late to the party. PMs had me tied up. But, thanks for giving me a reason to focus on the Joy! What brings me joy? Your beautiful pictures!
