favorite moments
from my week
#friday faves #findjoy
simple things
like toys lined up
on the window sill
by sweet Samuel
{look at those cute pjs}
he’s a boy after my own heart
looking for and creating order.
baking apple pie with my daughter
on Thanksgiving morning
and laughing and spending time together
and yes, we made it gluten free
and yes, baking gluten free for me is sometimes an exercise in finding joy.
the spur of the moment walk
with my boys
where they walked down by the hayfield
and I just let them run and run and run
sometimes we just need to abandon the schedule
and embrace the moment.

surprise snow
falling on Thanksgiving
on a day that started warm
and turned freezing
the snow still was a delight
{we ended up with almost three inches}
moments spent
with caleb
talking about Thanksgiving
and him telling
me how much he likes me as his mom
{another instagram}.
a little boy named Elijah
who was eagerly awaiting
that apple pie that was made in the morning
and just so you know
one of the cute decorative pie crust leaves was missing when we had to leave.
I’m thinking he’s the reason why.
waiting
in the truck to go to grandma’s house
on Thanksgiving
they were so excited
and notice – no snow.
the beauty of the lights
reflected outside
in the falling snow
as we drove home
from celebrating Thanksgiving with my family.
Life is good.
That’s it.
