…than you often think. For real.
Watch this…
When you think you are doing a seven…you probably are doing a ten…
You have taught me to stay positive.
Thank you for being such an amazing mom.
The little things matter, my friends. The words of keep trying and you can do it and all those little things build up and layer and layer and layer to create this intricate beautiful job in the parenthood journey. Sometimes it can feel like we are pounding the pavement and fighting and giving and we don’t know the return, but alas, the return is deeper than we can even imagine most times.
The other day I picked up my son Brennan from school and he got in the car with his face beaming and he said this is the absolute best day ever! And I asked him why and he simply told me because you picked me up, mom.
I picked him up.
Not anything I bought or took him too or any of that. It was simply that I was there for him.
Don’t forget that power of being there for them.
You are doing amazing things.

Hi Joy, I love this. The simplest moments between parent and child often become the most delightful when looking back. Thank you for sharing– you are doing amazing things.
Thank you for your constant reminders that we are good enough. Even though it’s something we should know, it’s something we often forget. I am so thankful and blessed to have found your blog. It’s on my daily reading list. THANK YOU.
